International Recycling Manager

The company jointly own and work exclusively with European and SE Asian processing plants who recycle spent and waste materials and produces metals and chemicals on their behalf. Job involves searching and liaising with customers, attending conferences and visiting clients internationally. With in-house training, support and guidance by the management team, the candidate will initially shadow an existing highly experienced manager with view to taking over his portfolio of clients in future.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks
• Working with the senior manager arranging purchases and sales of metal containing secondaries and other materials globally.
• Help build upon established relations with processors and locate new ones. 
• Liaise and visit companies in various industries globally.
• Attend trade exhibitions and other industry relevant events.
• Preparing and issuing purchase and sales contracts.
• Work closely with the logistics and operations team to ensure smooth trade processing and movement of materials in shipping containers globally.
• Reports to head of department and ultimately the Managing Director.
Qualifications / Experience 
Minimum of five or more years’ experience involving international sales/purchasing in the oil, gas, petrochemical or catalyst areas. 
Knowledge of metals – the LME, Fastmarkets etc. would be useful but not essential as successful candidate will be trained. 
Connections with, and knowledge of global catalyst producers, oil refineries and gas producers useful. 
The position requires someone who is UK based and can commute to the office regularly. Possibility to work partly from home after training is completed and ability to work independently which is likely to take one year or more depending on previous experience.
