About the Role
Our client is a forward-thinking energy firm dedicated to innovation and sustainability. We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Product Owner to join our clients team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. In this key role, you will act as the bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring Salesforce platform aligns with business needs and delivers value through continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Ownership: Serve as the primary owner of the Salesforce platform, defining and prioritizing the product backlog to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to gather requirements and translate them into actionable user stories and solutions.
- Strategic Planning: Define and drive the Salesforce product roadmap, ensuring it supports the organization’s strategic goals.
- Project Management: Oversee Salesforce projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
- Collaboration: Act as the central point of communication between stakeholders, developers, administrators, and other technical teams.
- Feature Design & Delivery: Lead the design and delivery of new Salesforce features and enhancements, ensuring they are user-focused and technically feasible.
- User Training & Support: Ensure end-users are equipped with the knowledge and tools to use Salesforce effectively by coordinating training sessions and creating documentation.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess the performance and usage of Salesforce, identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in a commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce capabilities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and platform customization options.
- Demonstrable experience in defining and managing product roadmaps and backlogs.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical perspectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering user-centric solutions.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Product Owner/Business Analyst) are advantageous but not essential.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the energy or utilities sector is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Salesforce integrations and APIs.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools within Salesforce.
