Role: IT Manager
Job Summary:
On behalf of our client a commodity trading business. We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Manager to oversee the management of their global IT infrastructure, networking, desktop support, and website management services. This role also includes providing technical application support (Trading related software, WordPress, etc.), and managing the migration of IT infrastructure during mergers and acquisitions. The IT Manager will be responsible for IT auditing, ensuring that our IT systems and processes comply with regulatory standards, security protocols, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Infrastructure & Networking Management
- Manage IT infrastructure and networks across global branches, ensuring security, reliability, and uptime.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement disaster recovery plans with regional backups.
Desktop Support & User Assistance (Global Support)
- Manage desktop support across global branches, ensuring consistent service, hardware/software support, and efficient deployment.
- Oversee user account management, system configurations, and secure access control across regions.
Website & Domain Management
- Manage global websites, including domain/DNS, cPanel, WordPress administration, and resolve performance issues across regions.
SharePoint & Application Support
- Administer SharePoint and global applications, ensuring secure access, seamless integration, and ongoing support across regions.
Migration of IT Infrastructure during Mergers & Acquisitions
- Lead IT infrastructure migrations during mergers, ensuring seamless integration, secure data transfer, and minimal disruption across regions.
Global IT Coordination & Strategy
- Coordinate IT efforts globally, ensuring policy alignment, standardized operations, and tailored solutions for regional needs.
Project Management & Cross-Regional Collaboration
- Lead global IT projects, coordinating regional teams and vendors, tracking milestones, and ensuring timely delivery and consistency in IT operations.
IT Strategy & Innovation
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business goals, driving innovation, and recommending new technologies to enhance performance and processes.
Vendor Management & Procurement
- Manage IT vendor relationships and procurement of hardware/software, ensuring timely delivery, SLAs, and cost-effectiveness across branches.
IT Budget & Financial Management
- Manage IT budget, monitor spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and track KPIs to ensure efficient resource allocation and value-driven IT investments.
IT Auditing
- Conduct internal IT audits, assess risks and vulnerabilities, recommend improvements, and support external audits with necessary documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in IT management or a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and desktop support practices.
- Experience in managing and administering WordPress, SharePoint, and other business applications.
- Proficiency in domain management, DNS configuration, and hosting platforms like cPanel.
- Proven experience in IT system migrations, particularly in the context of mergers and acquisitions
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, security principles, and firewall management.
- Excellent project management skills, including familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge in SIEM, Firewall, Cisco switches & routers, VPN etc.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, PMP) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, O365) is a plus.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
- Knowledge of server management, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and Active Directory.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) is a plus.
