We are seeking an experienced Naphtha Trader with at least 5 years of experience at an investment bank or brokerage. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of naphtha markets, a proven track record in trading, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be responsible for managing and expanding trading portfolios, driving profitability, and ensuring effective risk management strategies are in place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and manage naphtha trades in both physical and derivatives markets.
- Monitor market conditions, price trends, and news to make informed trading decisions.
- Develop and implement trading strategies to maximize profitability while managing risks.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, suppliers, and counterparties.
- Negotiate contracts and manage the logistics associated with physical naphtha trading.
- Analyze market data to identify trading opportunities and market anomalies.
- Collaborate with the risk management team to monitor and hedge risks associated with trading positions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the naphtha markets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of trading experience in naphtha at an investment bank or brokerage.
- Strong knowledge of naphtha markets, including supply-demand dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and key market players.
- Proven track record of profitable trading in naphtha or related products.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make quick, informed decisions.
- Experience with derivatives trading and risk management techniques.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Proficiency in trading platforms and software tools.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
